Weed control is like taking medicine for a chronic illness. If there has not been three consecutive applications, then the cycle has been broken and the process of establishing chemical barriers in the soil and cycling the mature plants hasn’t been completed.

Simple. So you, the customer, can see the consistency of the product applied during our first round of treatments in January & February.

Don’s Lawn does not require a contract nor do we charge cancellation fees. Our philosophy is that we do not rely on legalities to keep our customers. Our Cleanest & Greenest Guarantee is for our Premium 7x customers only. This guarantee is to set new customers at ease so that they can entrust us with their lawn care needs. It’s pretty simple. If there’s not a significant improvement in the amount of weeds and overall look of the lawn after one full year on our Premium 7x program, we’ll give you the next year of treatments for free. In order to qualify for this guarantee, the customer needs to receive all 7 treatments in the year. Skipping or pausing treatments will void this guarantee.

We take detailed pictures of each customer’s lawn on the initial treatment we perform on a new lawn. We also take pictures of the lawn at each subsequent treatment we perform. This ensures that we have accurate information to asses whether or not the guarantee should cover the cost of treatments following the first full year on the Premium 7x program.

Free Spot Sprays (FSS) are also reserved for our Premium 7x customers. These FSS are a way for us to treat small areas of the lawn between treatments in order to ensure we’re getting the best results. FSS are not available until after the 3rd consecutive treatment in a calendar year. So, even if a customer has been with us for a few years, they will have to wait until after the 3rd treatment each calendar year in order to request a FSS.

There are so many variables in a lawn that it’s impossible to guarantee anyone will have zero weeds year round. Even a customer receiving 7 treatments per year for several years in a row could have some weeds pop in an area of their lawn due to many reasons out of our control. The first 3 treatments every year are designed to knock out any weeds that may have emerged during the winter/spring months. 

Chances are most likely that any weeds that emerge early in the year will be taken care of in the first 3 treatments of the year. After the 3rd treatment, if there are some problem areas we are happy to come out and provide a FSS.

Aside from the treatments that include our signature blue dye, it’s impossible for us to assess if treatment was performed properly until 2 weeks after the treatment. This is how long it takes for the products to work their magic and make an impact on your lawn. If you feel like we missed something or did not perform the treatment to our high standards, please give the treatment 2 weeks before requesting a re-treatment or FSS. Two weeks after treatment we can see a noticeable change in your lawn (weeds will be wilting/dying, areas that were fertilized will be greener/fuller). Waiting 2 weeks after the treatment is the only way for us to know how we need to address any issues in your lawn.

While we strongly encourage everyone to enroll in auto-pay, it’s not a requirement. However, it is a requirement for us to have a credit card on file. Why do we require a credit card on file?

Put simply, to protect ourselves from the few people who might try to skirt their responsibility of paying their bills. Believe it or not, we deal with a lot of customers that think that it’s okay to not pay their bills.

If you’re not signed up for auto-pay and you pay your bill within 30 days of service, we would not automatically charge your card on file…EVER. 

The only time that we would run your card on file if you’re not set up on auto-pay is if you get 30+ days past due or you ask us to. We do this in order to prevent accounts from getting too far behind, which prevents us from having to send customers to collections (which we hate doing).

That said, our invoices are Due Upon Receipt (day of service). We have an automated system that will send a reminder about paying an invoice that’s 15 days past due. If that invoice is not paid within 30 days of service, we’ll use the card on file to pay for it.
